Preface.

Many of our interpretation of God's Word have been preached by pastors and/or through some discussions. One said based on some doctrines, while others say differently according to another. Which is true anyway? Many kinds of interpretations available are of course very confusing for us, the “amateur” children of God who have absolutely no educational background in theology compared to pastors. Ironically, our Bible is filled with parables presented by the Lord Jesus and filled with prophecies. Those are one of many ways to mislead interpretation, which has already warned by the Apostle Paul.

Hebrews 2:1 says:

We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away

Our problem as the children of God, less to read and pondering on the Word of God himself, we’d rather “just accept” what is served by others, which means it relies on human effort ! (Jeremiah 17: 5). However, if we just surrender our mind with God, He will give us a pure, abundant revelation, without contaminate by any doctrines.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 says:

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him.

Psalms 119:130 says:

The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.”

It is true that we must uphold the precautionary principle while we interpret the truth in the Word of God. However, these four main principles are sufficient for us, the children of God to test whether our interpretation, is true/not.

1. We have to be FEAR OF THE LORD. That means, our TRUE MOTIVATION in interpreting His word is not to please our flesh but to seek His will - whatever the consequences will be – that we are ready to accept the truth if we are wrong and directly repent. (Ezekiel 14 :1-11)

2. Maintain our intimate relationship with GOD, 24-7-365, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 full days in a year, and keep praising and worshipping Him all the time.

3. The Truth of the word of God we found must be explained, or confirmed by any other Word of God.

4. Then we keep on verifying the word of God, by checking through other versions of Bible and such as King James / New King James / NIV, and if possible, go for the Strong's Concordance, so we might understand clearly, then we hold the good (1 Tes.5: 21). Keep faithfully doing what has been revealed to us and if we are true then surely the Lord will provide confirmation with something which is beyond our imagination!

Therefore in this THE SHOFAR’s BLOG, I invite all of us to just surrender our little, tiny mind with so that we might experience Psalms 119: 130 by become doers of the word, so that the even the slightest thing could bring transformation in our life, and able to experience what the Apostle Paul said in:

Romans 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”

Or we could say:

Do not become the same with this world’s way of life and thinking, but let yourself be transformed by the changing or your “way of thinking”, so that you might prove which are the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

Well, basically our problem exists in our way of THINKING which has been misled by doctrines, as claimed by the apostle Paul, so that doctrines become strongholds in our logic when we try to accept the truth.

2nd Corinthians 11:3

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ

So, then, how could we overcome the strongholds?? By surrender our mind fully to God and just accept what God revealed through you. No more arguments with God.

Romans 6:13 says:

“Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body (including your mind and thoughts!) To him as instruments of righteousness”

Matthew 22:37 says:

“Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind”(i.e your logic !)

Then, I’m praying for all of you, as

Ephesians 1:17:21 says:

17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,

20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,

21far above all rules and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

-Jesus Bless You-

Note.

Nothing perfect in this world. Neither do with our effort to understand the word of God by just surrender our little, tiny mind to the Holy Spirit. It might because we understand the English version of the Holy Bible only, and not the original Hebrew nor Greek as the accurate base for interpretation. That’s why, if you brothers and sisters in Christ understand Hebrew n Greek Bible know more proper meaning of some verses that we are pondering on, please let me know so that it might be useful for our more accurate interpretation, to bless other readers.

1 Corinthians 13:9-10 says:

13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
